Anambra, S’East Obidient Leaders Disown Soludo Endorsement Rumour, Insist on Morghalu

Leadership of Obidient Movement in Anambra state and South East geopolitical zone, have dismissed the purported endorsement of APGA candidate, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo by the Obidient Movement as a huge joke and attempt to distract the movement from its plans to deliver the Labour party candidate, Dr. George Moghalu.

Speaking through its leaders at the state and zero Zonal levels, Obidients Movement leaders pledged to mobilize its members across the state to vote massively for Moghalu, as directed by its principal, Mr. Peter Obi.

Chief Comrade Obiora Charles Anueyiagu, leader of Obidient Movement Stakeholders, Anambra State and Ambassador Kingland Ezeani, spokesperson of Obidient Movement, South East zone, spoke on the sideline of a press conference, organized by the National Coordinator of Obidient Movement, Dr. Tanko Yunusa, on Thursday in Awka.

Both leaders urged members of the movement and the general public to disregard messages being circulated on the social media over a purported endorsement of the incumbent governor by the movement.

Anueyiagu said: “Our leader, Mr. Peter Obi is solidly behind Mr. George Moghalu and his running mate, Lady Ifeoma Veronica Okaro and today, the National Coordinator of Obidient Movement, Dr. Yunusa Tanko addressed press conference affirming Obidients Movement full support to Chief George Moghalu.

“So, any endorsement coming from anybody or group of persons to another candidate is a pure deception and Obidient Movement, Anambra state cannot allow it’s name to be dragged into such dubious act and sale-out by some elements who want to be noticed by all means.

“Obidients Movement is one and committed to ensuring a free and fair election come November 8, any attempt to rig the election will be resisted.

Also speaking, the spokesperson of Obidient Movement, South East zone, Amb. Kingsland Ezeani, said the Obidient Movement endorsed only George Moghalu, describing the purported endorsement of Soludo as misleading and handi work of transactional politicians.

“Obidient Movement has only one candidate and not two. We only endorsed only one candidate in Anambra state in the person of Dr. George Moghalu (Ohamadike).

“We are aware that some miscreants endorsed another candidate under our name. We know that people can be transactional in politics. They can do whatever they want to do but not with the name of Obidient Movement” he said.
