ACTDA Boss Hails President Tinubu’s Visit to Anambra as Welcome Development

The Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Mr. Ossy Onuko, has described the planned visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Anambra State as a welcome development.

Speaking during a site inspection at the Three Arms Zone Boulevard in Awka, which leads to the new Anambra State Government House, Mr. Onuko stated that Ndi Anambra were fully prepared to give the President a warm and deserving reception.

Mr. Onuko, who was seen supervising final touches on the beautification and infrastructure works in the capital city, praised Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo for transforming the state and attracting national attention.

He noted that President Tinubu does not just visit anywhere casually but aligns with progressives, describing Governor Soludo, leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), as one of the nation’s foremost progressives.

“President Tinubu, a progressive from the APC, coming to identify with APGA, the first progressive party, is a strong symbol of unity and recognition of good governance,” he said.

On his part, a prominent Awka stakeholder, Chief Christian Ezenwoke, described the visit as an epoch-making event. He said the people of Anambra see President Tinubu as an “August visitor” and welcomed the opportunity to showcase the remarkable transformation happening across the state. According to him, Governor Soludo has delivered exceptional infrastructure within a short period, turning Anambra into a massive construction site, with visible development across Awka, Nnewi, Onitsha and Ekwulobia all accomplished without borrowing.

Chief Ezenwoke added that the President visit serves as a personal endorsement of the Governor achievements. He noted that many have already recognized Governor Soludo performance through awards and President Tinubu presence is an affirmation of that excellence.

He praised ACTDA for its work on the beautification of Awka and stated that history will be made on Thursday, May 8, 2025, when Anambra rolls out the red carpet for the President.
