Igbo business man and investment expert, King Ifeanyichukwu Oruruo, who recently relocated from the United States to the South East, Nigeria, has rolled out 28.8 billion dollar project scheme for a global showcase of Nigeria and its people.
In a press chat yesterday, in Nnewi, Anambra State, the 39 year-old investor from Akpugo, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, said that the project scheme to be kick-started in Nnewi, is a national showcase of Nigeria designed to project the country and its people to the world in a new unique perspective.
He said that the Fare will be hosted in Nnewi, and will start with road shows tagged: “I Ga Eso Welu Road Show,” which if translated, means “would you join and partake of.”
King Oruruo, who is the chairman/CEO of Liven Capital Investment Ltd., said that the Fare and Road Show will showcase all that are good among the people of Nigeria, starting with the 55 cities in Nnewi zone, Anambra State.
According to him, “The project will start as a 4-day event starting from September 28 through October 1, at Nnewi High School field, Nnewi, Anambra State, with other activities taking place simultaneously in other facilities within the city.
“The project will also feature tour of communities under Nnewi zone aimed at understanding peculiar stories of the people, the landscapes and to show the world opportunities inherent in every area.”
According to him, the entire Fare and Roadshow will be shot live using 5 drones and 25 cameras, making sure that the world sees every single thing that is good about the people.
The project, he noted, is made up of seven showcases. One is the Job Fair, where five thousand people will be gainfully engaged to take part. The other, according to him, is the Trade Fair component where business men across different areas of investment and trade can come in and showcase their products and services.
He added, “The third is the Talent Showcase that will feature talent competition across sports and physical activities, arts and crafts, etc. Then, we have Exhibitions which will showcase works of different innovation in technology, fashion, arts, medicine, and natural life.
“We also have the Tourism component, where we’ll be reaching out to our sons and daughters all over the world, foreign embassies, Chambers of Commerce, etc to come and see opportunities in our land. Another aspect of what we’re doing is Trade and Investment.
“But at the heart of what we’re doing is National Orientation. We have a problem in our country in not recognizing that what is missing among us is love. If our people continues fighting over little things, the society will continue to derail. So, National Orientation requires complete collaboration by all of us so that we will begin to love ourselves and our fatherland.
“This project is not about me or for me. My interest is the Job Fare. I have 28.8 billion dollars project scheme which I want to hire for. I have investment for it. I’m not into the project to make money. No matter what I build, it is going for the people and society where it is built. My organization, Liven Capital Investment Ltd and its partners are providing capital and finance to ensure that the project exists. This project is not to showcase us. We’re only taking advantage of the Fare for employment purposes. Every other person should come on board, and take advantage of the Fare for trade, investment, tourism, and every other purpose.
“So, let us come together to build new identity for our people, and showcase the identify to the world – an identity driven by love for ourselves and for natural advantages that we have.
“As a person, I’ve taken corporate route towards societal development. So, this project is designed for re-development of our society in a way that takes congnizance of our strengths and the challenges that we have as a people. The ‘I Ga Eso Welu’ show is an attempt to revisit the way the world sees us and how we see ourselves.”
