“I Stand With Peter Obi 100 Percent”: Mbanusi Targets Umuoji’s 39 Polling Units in 2027

House of Representatives aspirant for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Barr. Ifeanyi Mbanusi, has declared his total support for Peter Obi, pledging to mobilise voters across all 39 polling units in Umuoji Ward ahead of the 2027 general election.

Mbanusi made the declaration during the inauguration of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) Umuoji Ward executive and the unveiling of the party’s ward secretariat near St. Michael’s Hospital, Umuoji.

“I stand with Mr Peter Obi 100 percent. I will deliver the 39 polling units in Umuoji Ward for Peter Obi,” Mbanusi declared.

He said the party would establish a 13-member structure in each polling unit to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and election planning.

Mbanusi urged Nigerians to reject vote-buying and elect candidates based on competence, integrity and conscience.

“Don’t sell your birthright for peanuts. Vote with your conscience and vote for the right candidates,” he said.

Describing the 2027 election as critical to Nigeria’s future, he urged eligible voters to obtain their voter cards and participate actively in the electoral process.

Mbanusi also appealed to Umuoji residents to support his ambition to represent Idemili North and South in the House of Representatives.

“I am not contesting for selfish interest. I want to go there and make a difference. What matters is integrity, credibility and service,” he said.

The newly inaugurated Ward Chairman, Stanley Nwachukwu Fantasy, pledged to carry party members along and take the party’s mobilisation campaign to the grassroots.

The executive was inaugurated by the NDC Vice Chairman in Idemili North, Chief Toochukwu Anaekwe, alongside Mbanusi and party chieftain Chief Anthony Obiaku Chinaemeze, who urged members to remain united and avoid anti-party activities.

The event also featured the formal unveiling of the NDC Umuoji Ward Secretariat.
