It was celebration galore in Nawfia community in Njikoka local government area of Anambra state at the opening of an ultra modern funeral services outfit as well as birthday celebration of Chinedu Emmanuel, a distinguished businessman in the state.

The storey building outfit named, Royal Funeral Plaza, located along Enugu-Onitsha old road, is focus of Honoring lives and celebrating legacies.

Speaking during the dedication of facility, Vicar of St Peter’s church, Abagana and Venerable of the archdeaconry, Ven Solomon Chidoka described the double barrel achievements as worth celebrating.

He appreciated God for the blessings of life, health and wealth upon the celebrant, praying for God’s continued increase and enlargement of his business.

He said, “We’re here to dedicate this business outfit, a building set apart for display of casket to be used for burials. It’s through God’s grace and mercy that we achieve whatever we achieve in life. It’s not by power nor might.

“This expansion of business is indeed a great achievement. We pray that this one will give birth to other businesses.

“By establishing this business, I don’t think the owner is wishing people to die. But the bitter truth is that everyone must die one day, and when death occurs, business like this will be patronized.

“Maybe, when I die, my people will come here to buy the casket for my burial. We only pray God for long life and sound health so we can die at ripe age. Even at the ripe age, people still cry.

“We’re also here to celebrate with Emma on his birthday. We thank God for adding another year to his life. We pray that God will continue to bless him to be more fruitful in life.

The cleric stressed the need for people to trust and depend on God in every life endeavor, including business, profession, career among others.

“It’s only God that enlarges and expands one’s territory. He is also the one that makes the rich as well as the poor. Whichever situation we finds ourselves, we should be happy and believe God for better tomorrow,” he added.

Earlier, the celebrant appreciated God for his mercies and provisions in establishing the business outfit, praying for patronage and expansion.

He traced the history behind the business, describing it as least expected.

He said, “Today is grand opening of my new showroom and celebration of my birthday. We’re using the celebration to appreciate God making it possible for us to move into a modern facility.

“The genesis of the business is a very long one. When I tell people that I’m a graduate with masters, they marvel. My first degree is in business administration. When something is destined to happen, nobody can stop it.

“This happened in a way I least expected. I was working in a company in Lagos and they were diversifying into funeral services.

“When the MD picked interest in the business, he invited me to assist in starting that section. That’s how it all started. The rest, they say is history.”

Expressing confidence of easy breakthrough in a seemingly saturated business, the business tycoon assured of quality and affordable services with modern facilities.

“We’ve through this facility provided people a comfortable platform to transact business seamlessly. Although the industry seems saturated, there’s whole lot to do here. It all depends on the quality you bring into it.

“Our services which include casket, pallbearers, brass band, hearses ambulance, among others will be based on compassion, dignity and excellence,” he said.

Chinedu appreciated those who identified with him in the double barrel celebration, prayiy God to grant them their heart desires, including long life, sound health and God’s protection.

“For my guests who came to celebrate with me, I pray God who granted me this mercy will also grant them their heart desires, including long life, sound health and God’s protection,” he added.
