Prospective candidates seeking admission into Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) for the 2026/2027 academic session have been urged to take note of important Post-UTME application deadlines, especially those applying for highly competitive professional programmes.
The management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Anambra State, has announced that the Post-UTME screening application portal for regulated programmes will officially close on Friday, August 7, 2026.
The affected programmes include:
Law
Medicine and Surgery
Nursing
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D)
Medical Laboratory Science
According to a public announcement issued by the university, candidates who selected COOU as their first-choice institution in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and intend to study any of the listed programmes must complete their applications before the deadline.
Meanwhile, the university clarified that applications for all non-regulated programmes and Direct Entry (DE) candidates have been extended and will remain open until Sunday, August 30, 2026.
The extension is expected to give more prospective students ample time to complete their registration and ensure that all required documents are properly submitted before the portal closes.
Speaking through the official notice, the university management emphasized the importance of meeting the stipulated deadlines.
