Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has paid glowing tribute to former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Ike Oye (Ozonkpu), describing him as “a man of exceptional courage, unyielding loyalty, and remarkable leadership” as he marks his 70th birthday.

In a goodwill message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo joined Chief Oye’s family, friends, political associates and the APGA family across the country in celebrating what he described as a significant milestone in the life of one of the party’s most distinguished leaders.

The governor noted that attaining the age of 70 is “a profound testament to God’s grace, a reward for a life devoted to dedicated service to humanity, and a celebration of a living epitome of wisdom.”

Reflecting on Chief Oye’s political journey, Soludo praised his tenure as APGA National Chairman, saying his leadership provided stability and direction during some of the party’s most challenging periods.

“As a shrewd administrator, Chief Victor Oye stood as a pillar of stability. He successfully steered APGA through turbulent political waters, entrenching discipline, unity and a winning culture that kept the APGA wheel spinning stronger than ever,” the governor said.

Soludo further acknowledged Oye’s continued contributions to the party and the state as a respected member of APGA’s Board of Trustees (BoT), describing him as a dependable ally in the ongoing governance and transformation of Anambra State.

“His wealth of experience remains an invaluable asset to this administration and to the progressive ideals of our great party,” he added.

Congratulating the elder statesman on joining the league of septuagenarians, Governor Soludo prayed for God’s continued blessings upon him.

“May Almighty God grant Chief Victor Ike Oye robust health, renewed strength, greater wisdom and many more years of impactful service to APGA, Anambra State and Nigeria.”

Chief Victor Ike Oye served as the National Chairman of APGA and is widely credited with strengthening the party’s internal cohesion and electoral fortunes during his tenure.
