Hon. Kenechukwu Mike Offor Junior, son of former Minority Leader/Anambra West lawmer, Anambra State House of Assembly, late Chief Mike Offor has praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his strides in infrastructure development and improved security in Anambra.

Offor made the remarks while fielding questions with select journalists at his country home, Mmiata Anam, Anambra West LGA on Wednesday.

He said: “I must commend Governor Chukwuma Soludo over his giant strides during his first term. He has tried a lot especially road infrastructure. He has been busy dualizing a lot roads around Aguata, Agulu, Nnewi and environs. We in the Anambra North senatorial zone also gained from that because he included the 33-Nsugbe-Aguleri on the roads to be dualized and they have started work already.

“I feel that he has done very well in the area of infrastructural development, especially road.

He also hailed the Soludo administration’s efforts in steming the tide of insecurity in Anambra.
“Since his inauguration of Agunechemba and Udogachi security outfits, security has improved. We all can testify that during last Year Yuletide period, there was relative calm due to improved security in the state. So, I give him kudos for that also”.

Offor, who seized the opportunity to declare his aspiration for the Anambra East&West Federal Constituency legislative seat under the African Democratic Congress, ADC, urged Governor Soludo to focus his attention on some critical roads in Anambra West during his second term.
He listed the Mmiata-Umuenwelum road, Nono-Nsugbe road as well as ongoing dualization of Onitsha-Nsugbe-Otuocha road as key to unlocking the Anambra West corridor.

“Some stakeholders from Anambra West have already met him (Governor Chukwuma Soludo), pleading for him to construct a bridge across Omambala river and road from Akpaka- Nsugbe to Onono Umuikwu Anam.

“We are also pleading with him to remember us during his second term. Our school buildings need to be raised because of flooding. Not every time the principal will be forced to carry some important documents or sensitive materials belonging to school home to avoid being damaged by flood.
Infrastructure is our number one problem. We have the Mmiata Anam-Umuenwelum road that has been in terrible condition, especially during rainy season”, he said.

Offor also pledged to collaborate with the state government to ramp up infrastructure development across Anambra East and West if elected to the National Assembly in 2027.
