Driver arrested for stealing employer’s Car in Onitsha, selling it in Delta

The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a driver for allegedly stealing a black Toyota Camry from his employer in the Federal Housing area of Onitsha.

Police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga reported on Monday that the suspect identied as Mr. Divine Nnalue was apprehended by operatives from the ‘3-3’ Police Station following a tip-off.

During interrogation, Nnalue confessed to selling the vehicle to an unidentified individual.

Ikenga stated, “On June 13, 2025, police operatives arrested Mr. Divine Ifeanyi Nnalue at Ugbeji-Okpanam near Asaba, Delta State. He is accused of stealing a black Toyota Camry, Reg No: ENU 289 JF, belonging to his employer at Trinity Avenue, Federal Housing.”

He added that efforts are underway to recover the vehicle and apprehend others involved in the theft.

“This arrest demonstrates the Police Command’s ability to track down individuals who breach trust and commit crimes, underscoring our commitment to protecting citizens’ property and upholding the law,” Ikenga concluded.
