Anambra First Lady, Nonye Soludo, Bags Africa Public Health Innovation Award

The First Lady of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has been named a recipient of the Public Health Innovation Award at the forthcoming Africa Future Leadership Conference and Awards, in recognition of her advocacy for preventive healthcare and healthy living.

According to the organisers, Mrs Soludo is among the distinguished honourees scheduled to be recognised at the ceremony on November 20, 2026, in Lagos.

The award acknowledges her efforts to promote public health, disease prevention and healthier lifestyles through her Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, which has gained visibility across Anambra State and beyond.

Through the initiative, the Anambra First Lady has championed health awareness programmes focusing on nutrition, physical fitness, menstrual hygiene and practical lifestyle changes aimed at improving individual and community well-being.

Her advocacy has particularly highlighted the health needs of women, children and young people, while encouraging households and communities to adopt healthier daily habits.

The Healthy Living initiative has become a key part of Mrs Soludo’s humanitarian engagements, with an emphasis on making health education and preventive care accessible and relevant to everyday life.

The Africa Future Leadership Conference and Awards recognises individuals whose work contributes to leadership and development across the continent. The Public Health Innovation Award specifically highlights contributions to public health promotion and preventive healthcare.

The November ceremony is expected to bring together leaders and other distinguished guests to celebrate individuals whose work aligns with efforts to advance Africa’s development.
