Police in Nigeria have declared Okafor Daniel Chukwuma wanted over an alleged connection to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a group proscribed by the Nigerian government.

The police command, in a public notice, urged members of the public with information on Chukwuma’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station or contact the designated police telephone line.

According to the notice, Chukwuma is wanted “in connection with a case of being a member of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which is a proscribed group in Nigeria.”

The notice identified the wanted man as Okafor Daniel Chukwuma, an Igbo male with a brown complexion, whose last known location was given as Aba, Abia State.

The command appealed to anyone with credible information that could assist security agencies in locating him to come forward. “Any one with useful information about his whereabouts should report to the nearest Police Station or call 09111439210,” the notice stated.

The declaration is an allegation and does not, by itself, establish Chukwuma’s guilt or confirm that he is a member of IPOB. Members of the public are advised to provide information through official security channels rather than attempting to apprehend or confront the suspect themselves.

The police did not provide further details in the notice about the specific circumstances or evidence underlying the allegation.
