Fr. Ebube Muonso Marks 15 Years in Priesthood, Reveals ₦100m Medical Outreach, Thousands on Scholarship

Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as Fr. Ebube Muonso, has marked 15 years of priestly service with a renewed commitment to education, healthcare, humanitarian intervention and the service of humanity.

The anniversary celebration, held at the Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, provided an opportunity for the Catholic priest to reflect on his journey, express gratitude to God and highlight some of the interventions undertaken through his ministry.

Speaking at the event, Fr. Ebube Muonso described his 15 years in the priesthood as a journey sustained by the grace and guidance of God despite the challenges encountered along the way.

“I am deeply grateful to God for seeing me through these 15 years of priestly service. Without His guidance and grace, this journey would not have been possible,” he said.

The priest also paid tribute to his Archbishop, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke, Archbishop of Onitsha, whom he described as a father and shepherd who has continued to guide and correct him whenever necessary.

He prayed for God to continue to strengthen the Archbishop and grant him the wisdom and grace to lead the faithful.

‘I Have Thousands Under My Scholarship Scheme’

As part of his anniversary reflections, Fr. Ebube Muonso highlighted the humanitarian initiatives associated with his ministry, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare.

He disclosed that thousands of people are currently benefiting from his scholarship scheme, which he described as one of the largest scholarship initiatives in Anambra State.

“I have thousands under my scholarship scheme,” he said, stressing that education remains a powerful tool for transforming lives and creating opportunities for young people who might otherwise struggle to achieve their aspirations.

According to him, the scholarship intervention is part of his commitment to empowering people and giving back to society in response to what he described as the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

The cleric also disclosed that ₦100 million has been earmarked for medical outreach, further underscoring the emphasis his ministry places on healthcare and humanitarian assistance.

Sponsoring Patients Receiving Treatment in India

Fr. Ebube Muonso further revealed that two patients currently undergoing medical treatment in India are being sponsored solely by him.

The disclosure formed part of his account of the humanitarian interventions carried out through his ministry, which extend beyond the provision of financial assistance to include medical support for people facing serious health challenges.

He also disclosed that elderly people in Nkwelle Ezunaka receive monthly financial support from him to help meet their needs.

His humanitarian interventions, according to supporters, cut across education, healthcare, elderly care and other areas aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable members of society.

‘I Didn’t Plan to Celebrate the Anniversary’

Despite the significance of the milestone, Fr. Ebube Muonso disclosed that he initially had no plans to organise a grand celebration for his 15th priestly anniversary.

He said the decision to mark the occasion gained momentum after messages, surprises and gestures of goodwill began pouring in from people who wanted to celebrate his journey.

“I didn’t plan to celebrate the anniversary,” he said, explaining that the outpouring of love and appreciation from people eventually made it difficult to ignore the occasion.

Among the touching gestures was the effort of a woman who prepared food for people as part of the celebration, a gesture that reflected the affection and goodwill surrounding the anniversary.

Fr. Jeremiah Ikezue Celebrates Mentor

Also speaking at the celebration, Rev. Fr. Jeremiah Ikezue expressed his joy over Fr. Ebube Muonso’s 15th anniversary, describing the celebrant as a mentor and offering prayers for his continued success in priestly ministry.

Fr. Jeremiah prayed for God to grant Fr. Ebube Muonso continued strength, grace and protection as he enters another chapter of his priesthood.

15 Years of Priesthood, A Legacy Still Unfolding

For Fr. Ebube Muonso, the anniversary was not merely a celebration of 15 years at the altar. It was also a moment of thanksgiving, reflection and renewed commitment to service.
