No fewer than 933 Corps Members of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I were on Thursday formally discharged from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) after successfully completing the one-year mandatory national service in Anambra State.

Nine of them who absconded from service would repeat the entire service year in line with the provisions of the NYSC Bye-Laws, while two others had their service year extended on disciplinary grounds.

Five corps members were however retained by their employers following their outstanding performance.

Speaking at the passing out ceremony held at the Ihiala Local Government Council Area, State Coordinator, Mrs Pauline Ojisua congratulated the outgoing Corps Members on the successful completion of their service year.

She charged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the NYSC Scheme and Nigeria.

She urged them to embrace self-reliance by putting into practice the entrepreneurial and vocational skills acquired during the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, rather than waiting endlessly for white-collar jobs.

Ojisua also encouraged the Corps Members to remain productive by engaging in meaningful ventures capable of creating sustainable livelihoods and contributing to national development.

While advising them to join the NYSC Foundation to sustain their relationship with the Scheme and continue supporting its objectives, the NYSC boss wished them journey mercies and God’s protection as they return to their various destinations to begin a new phase of their lives.

The issuance of Certificates of National Service (CNS) took place simultaneously across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
