Anambra State Branch of the Rotary Action Group for Family Planning and National Commission (RAGFP-NC) has ushered in a new phase of leadership with a renewed commitment to advancing Rotary’s humanitarian ideals through dedicated service, teamwork and impactful community programmes.
The transition took place during the branch’s final meeting for the 2025–2026 Rotary year and official handover ceremony, marking the successful completion of one administration and the commencement of another.
Presenting his stewardship report, Immediate Past State Coordinator, Mr. Obiudu Chidi, highlighted the achievements recorded during his tenure.
He noted that the branch remained consistent in implementing programmes that aligned with the vision of District 9142 and the National Coordinator of RAGFP-NC.
Obiudu expressed appreciation to the Immediate Past District Chair and Zonal Coordinator, Past Assistant Governor Dr. Dennis Ekemezie, for his unwavering support, guidance and mentorship, which he said contributed significantly to the successes recorded during the year.
The highpoint of the ceremony was the formal handover of leadership by Mr. Obiudu, who now serves as the RAGFP-NC District Chair and South-East Zonal Coordinator, to the new Anambra State Coordinator, Rotarian Oby Arinze, a Paul Harris Fellow.
In her acceptance speech, Rotarian Oby Arinze pledged to devote her time, talent and treasure to strengthening the activities of the group and expanding its impact across Anambra State.
She called on members to remain united and committed to Rotary’s ideals of selfless service in order to achieve greater success in the new Rotary year.
The event was attended by prominent Rotary leaders and members, including Past President Bishop Michael, Past President Martin Nzeocha, Past President Chijioke Ogugua,Rotaractor Gilbert Chinedum, and the RAGFP-NC Akwa Ibom State Coordinator, Rotarian Lulu Utomobong, who joined members in celebrating the smooth leadership transition.
