An aspirant for the Awka North and South Federal Constituency seat on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Azubuike Ekweozor has maintained that his decision to serve a single tenure if elected remained non-negotiable.

He said four years was enough for him to fully translate his promises into action in the constituency before opting for higher political aspiration.

Ekweozor who made the vow in Awka, Anambra state during an engagement with a political support group, Anambra Patriots.

He identified accessibility, political network, philanthropic record, loyalty to the party and integrity as qualities that distinguished him from other contenders in the race.

Ekweozor, popularly known as ‘Ide Umuawulu’ also listed his four-point agenda he intended to prioritize if elected to include agriculture, security, low cost housing and infrastructural development.

“I have sat down to study the wants of my constituency. That’s why I have to come up with that four points agenda. These key areas currently lacking in our constituencies will be adequately addressed under my leadership.

“I’ll use my contacts across the country to attract more dividends of democracy to the grassroots,” he reassured.

While pledging to prioritise people-oriented representation and effective service delivery, the lawmaker hopeful urged members of the group to align with his legislative agenda, assuring them of quality representation if elected.

Convener of Anambra Patriots, Arc Okey Ezeobi noted that the group had offered platform for aspiring leaders to share their blueprints aimed at ensuring good governance, trust and accountability.

“The essence of Anambra Patriots is to duplicate Governor Chukwuma Soludo across board in every ward, constituency, local government in the state,” he added.

Chairman of the group, Chief Damian Enekwechi described the organisation as a formidable, self-sustaining political support group dedicated to advancing people’s welfare through responsible political participation.

He said such responsible commitment had paid off in less than two years of its existence with the Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration choosing three of its members to man various sensitive areas of his government.

According to Enekwechi, while Mr Governor chose the Anambra Patriots Convener, Arch Okey Ezeobi as Commissioner for Works, Fred Agbata and himself were appointed as Managing Director, ICT and President, Anambra Country Club respectively.
