Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has commended schools in the state for taking advantage of ongoing massive transformation in the education sector.
He attributed outstanding performances of schools in the state in national and international competitions to his enormous support to educational institutions across the state.
Speaking while handing over the star prize of a bus won by the best primary school in Nigeria, Woliwo Primary School II Onitsha, Soludo, represented by Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh praised the school for the feat.
He pledged continuous fulfilment of his promise of rewarding teachers who did the State proud, including winning of laurels.
The star prize of a bus, together with the key was handed over to the head teacher of the winning school, Mrs. Francisca Odiegwu at the Udoji State Secretariat Complex Awka.
A cheque of N5million was also handed over to the Anambra State contingent who came 2nd during the match past at the 2025 World Teachers Day Celebration at the Eagles Square, Abuja.
Award recipients whose joy knew no bounds prayed God’s continuous blessing and guidance on the governor as he pilot the affairs of the State.
Highpoints of the celebration was the presentation of cup won by Anambra Solution Teachers.
