In a bid to encourage export of oil palm produce, the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has distributed about 500 seedlings to trigger mass plantation in Anambra State

Over 50 youths drawn from different locations also benefitted from the programme staged at Mr Gordian Chukwuemeka Oranika Conference Hall, Awka.

State Coordinator, NEPC, Mr. Peter Udom said major objective of the workshop was to bring together a diverse group of Youths, young farmers, budding exporters, and potential exporters in the Oil Palm Value Chain to explore high-yielding farming techniques.

“It’s also targeted at providing them with valuable insights and practical tips to help the participants enhance quality Palm Oil seed endeavours for quality exports,” he added.

Udom urged participants to utilize the knowledge acquired to engage themselves not just in exportation of raw agricultural products but also add value to it.

He added that it would enable them to contribute meaningfully to the development of the Nigerian economy and create employment in line with the NEPC campaign of “Doubling your Export”
