Obi Warns Against Vote-Buying, Urges Free, Fair Anambra Governorship Election

Former Anambra Governor, Mr Peter Obi has called for free, fair and credible election ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

Mr Obi made the call in a chat with Newsmen in Agulu, Anaocha local government area.

He however warned against vote buying or any other vices capable of jeopardizing the outcome of the exercise.

The Former Presidential candidate of Labour Party in 2023 General Election, described the gubernatorial candidates as his friends who he has respect for.

He said, “All those involved in the exercise, in one way or the other are my friends. I have respects for all of them.

Mr Obi called on electorate to vote according to their conscience as all he wanted is for the election to be free, fair and credible.

According to him, creation of states is not the pressing problem in Nigeria now, rather efforts should be made on the need to get Nigeria to work first and not creating states and new ministries.
