Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, recently issued certificates of recognition to four traditional rulers who were elected in their autonomous communities.
Leading the pack of the newly certified monarchs was HRM Engr. Sir Augustine Chinedum Emelobe, Ezeokpoko II of Oba, who was elected the traditional ruler of Oba Kingdom in Idemili South LGA in March 2025.
Also certified was HRH Igwe Sunday Emmanuel Udoji Ozoemena, Oranyelu I of Ifite Anam, who was elected to the vacant throne of Ifite Anam, Anambra West Local Government Area on Saturday, April 26, 2025,
HRH Igwe Ifeanyi Okonkwo, Igwe Obidigbo I of Ichi, also recieved his certificate alongside HRH Igwe Chinonso Ezeokafor – Ike Ikenga III of Ikenga autonomous community in Njikoka Local area of Anambra state.
During a brief ceremony held at the Light House in Awka, Governor Soludo praised the presentation of certificates as a vital step toward fostering unity, promoting peace, and maintaining harmony within their respective communities.
The governor also urged the newly elected rulers to govern with dedication and in strict adherence to their town constitutions, emphasizing the importance of serving as a moral compass for their domains.
He encouraged them to fulfill their promises made during the electoral process, focusing on community development and the welfare of their people.
