Anambra: Emulate God’s Love For Humanities… Clergy Advices Christians, As Oforkaja Is Buried

Rev.Fr Ikenna Okparaji, a residence Father of St Anthony’s Catholic Church Ifite Nanka, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State has advised Christians to emulate God’s love which he said is the greatest among all the commandments of God.

Okparaji made the call in an interview with Newsman at Oforkaja family in Ifite Nanka during the burial ceremony of Late Chief Ferdinand Nwankwor Oforkaja, a pioneer member of New Auto Spare Parts Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area.

He said“ Christian should emulate Gods love to humanities because if there is love, there would not be hatred, killings, frauds, disobedience and all manner of bad things”.

Describing Oforkaja, he said “Though i did not meet him but I have been hearing about his name since I came to this parish(St Anthony), stories about him have told me that he was a good man, he was one of persons that laid the foundation of this St Anthony’s, the way he has been helping people, the way he welcomes everybody.

“If people can emulate such a man, things would have been better, he loves people, both rich, poor, elders, children, renders help to the needy, he was a good man and advice his children to emulate the legacies he left “.

Late Oforkaja at Auto New parts for last respect.

The Chairman of New Auto Spare Parts Nkpor, Chief Obiora Oforle who paid condolence visit to the deceased in his country home with the landlords and traders in the market described late Oforkaja as one of the pioneer members of the market, one time Vice chairman of the market.

”He was among those who relocated this New Auto Spare Parts from Moore street to the present location, Nkpor, we are now benefitting from their achievements which made us to be where we are today.

“Despite his age, he followed us to court whenever the need arises, he was the one that provided some of the documents we needed for our matter in court because he keeps, preserves documents very well, though he died when we needed him most but we cannot question God”.

Mr Ogechukwu Oforkaja, the first son, in his words described their late father as a man who loves the truth, instead of telling him what you are not sure of, he prefers not to be told at all, very supportive, loving, caring, kind hearted.

“I advise my siblings to be one, to imitate the legacies of our late father and pray that God would grant him mercy wherever he didn’t do well”.

Similarly the second daughter, who is also the second child of Late Oforkaja, Mrs Njideka Ononuju said that she would miss a lot from the father,“ He is like a father, husband, a friend to us, very caring, kind hearted, jovial, very hospitality, he doesn’t hide his feeling whenever you wronged him, a lot would be missed about him.

Late Chief Ferdinand Nwankwor Oforkaja earned a titled name Onoka Omelu of Nanka for his outstanding contributions to the people of Nanka, until his death, he was the former chairman of New Auto Spare Parts Nkpor, Vice Chairman of St Anthony’s Catholic Church Nanka, among others, he died at the age of 86 years.

Late Chief Oforkaja before his body was conveyed to his country home was brought to New Auto Spare Parts Nkpor, for the traders last respect to him, where Chief Oforle led other traders in mourning procession.
