FRSC Hands over Recovered Goods to Victims of Anambra Auto Crash

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra State on Monday handed over goods recovered from a fatal crash in Umuokpu Timber Market, along Awka – Onitsha Expressway of the state.

The Sector Command last week reported that one person lost his life in the crash, while seven others sustained varying degrees of injury.

Victims of the crash were present at the Command to identify and collect the recovered items which included 5 new phones, 10 sacks of shoes, 4 coolers, 25 bags of diapers 10 sets of baby hangers, 1 set of kitchen furniture, 5 sacks of utensils and many heavy bags of undisclosed items.

Speaking on behalf of the victims, Mr. Odoh, who represented the driver of the Toyota Sienna thanked FRSC for high level of professionalism exhibited during the rescue operation.

He confirmed that their goods were complete and intact, charging the FRSC officials not to relent in their efforts towards protection of lives and property by keeping the highways safe for all road users.

Reacting, Sector Commander, Adeoye Irelewuyi thanked the beneficiaries for the accolades, advising the victims and other road users to be responsible and say NO to overloading, driving above stipulated speed limits and other bad road usage that could cause crashes.
