British Spring College Honours Students for Breaking New Records in SAT, IGCSE, UTME

British Spring College, Awka, renowned for academic excellence, has during its 2023 graduation/valedictory session, given excellent awards to students who broke new ground in external exams. The 2023 best graduating student and Valedictorian, Udeze Adaora, scored 1420 in SAT, an examination for students seeking admission in United States of America.
Another awardee, Onubuogu Chinazom, in addition to sweeping IGCSE with 6A*, was the Anambra State Champion in the Young Scientist of Nigeria Presidential Award. She also bagged Curve award for making the list of three best students in Africa, having reached the second runner-up in Cruxlearning Mathematics Contest Africa.
Also awarded was Nwani Emmanuel, whose score hit 345 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). There were also awards for best students in each subject, external competitions, as well as best behaved students, some of who had already secured admission in most competitive universities across the globe.
The event had captains of industries, academic giants, religious and political leaders in attendance. Recall that 2023 pre-graduation was beehive of activities. The graduating students had last social night, pool party, thanksgiving service and prom night to herald the valedictory session.
In his sermon, the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev’d Dr Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim, charged the graduands to always remember God in their future endeavours. Ibezim, represented by the Archdeacon of Awka Archdeaconry, Ven. Chukwudi Daniel Ezeobi, urged the graduating students to always uphold the virtue of integrity, compassion and commitment to excellence, that had kept them in BSC.
Addressing the students, the Director of British Spring College, Lady Uju Dike, recounted how Class of 2023 had grown and evolved into credible individuals. She congratulated them for completing their educational milestone. According to her, the event was momentous and marked the cumulative grade of hardwork, dedication and growth. These, she said, were filled with perfect memories of accomplishment.
“As the School Director, it has been my honour to witness your moment of academic growth. Your resilience, determination and passion have been truly inspiring. Let this serve as a constant reminder of the large potentials that lie in you,” she said.
The innovator finally appreciated Class of 2023 prefects for their leadership, dedication and service, especially their unwavering commitment to BSC community. In all, she declared that Class of 2023 would forever remain part of British Spring College.
Congratulating the graduating students, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof Joseph Ifeanyichukwu Ikechebelu, hinted sides on the conducive learning environment in BSC. The Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology who chaired the occasion held that the quality of teaching and learning in BSC always made their students stand out as the best.
The event featured media parade, presentations by choral group and different artists, cutting of cake, and induction of BSC prefects by the school lawyer, Barr Nsofor.
