The Igboezue International Association of Nigeria and in Diaspora has appealed to Nigerian electorates to shun financial inducement and vote for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi. The group in a statement issued through its National President, Chief Pius Uchenna Okoye, Insists that Obi is the only candidate that has the capacity and desire to rescue Nigeria from the current socio-economic and political quagmire.

Okoye made the appeal on Sunday, in Oraukwu, Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, during the celebration of the association’s new yam festival.

He said: “It is only Igbo that can bind Nigeria together now through Mr. Peter Obi. Our problem in this country is politicians, they don’t have focus, they are selfish, gullible and always want to remain in power whether they perform or not.

“Nigerians should forget the money from old politicans like Chief Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, among others, and vote the youth that God has sent, Mr. Peter Obi, if we want to get to the next level.

“They should leave leadership for the youths for God’s sake. Whether they like it or not God’s wish must happen in 2023. Obi was rated the best performing Governor in his time as the former Governor of Anambra State. He was the only Governor then that was not grilled by EFCC and he even invited them to come and do inventory of his leadership account and they ran away”
Okoye also asserted that Nigerians were witnesses to Obi’s performance in Anambra, adding that he will do same if elected, stating that he is a good manager of people and economy.
