What Anambra Govt is Doing to boost tourism sector – Onyenji

The Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji says the ministry under his leadership has laid the foundation to boost tourism in the state.

Onyenji stated this while speaking with journalists on the 100 days of Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration in Awka.

According to him, plans were on the way to transform Tulip Hotel Agulu into a world class Tourist center and that
a team from the Federal Ministry of information and culture recently visited “Ogbunike cave to get first hand information on how to develop the site to see if it could be enlisted into the UNICEF world heritage site”.

The Commissioner further said steps were being taken to capture hotels in Anambra state on official data base for easy monitoring. He noted that any hotel that falls below standard would be sanctioned.

Comrade Onyenji also expressed confidence that his ministry would contribute towards the achievement of Governor Soludo’s agenda of making Anambra State a liveable mega city.

He described governor Chukwuma Soludo as a world class figure who has impacted on the Nigerian economy while he was the central bank governor.
