Reaffirming the Command’s resolve to combat crimes against vulnerable persons, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the Command remains unwavering in its commitment to ensuring justice for victims.
“The Anambra State Police Command maintains zero tolerance for sexual and gender-based violence, child abuse and every form of violence against vulnerable persons. We will continue to investigate such cases diligently and ensure that offenders are brought to justice in accordance with the law,” Ikenga stated.
The Police also appealed to members of the public to continue reporting cases of abuse promptly, assuring residents that every complaint involving women and children will receive the attention it deserves.
It is important to note that these allegations remain before the court, and all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction.
