Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Sector Command has urged motoring public to prioritize safety on highways, reaffirming its commitment to promoting road safety.

Sector Commander, Corps Commander Bridget Asekhauno gave the advice at a church outreach to the Life of Faith Gospel Assembly, Onitsha as part of its efforts to promote road safety and reduce road traffic crashes.

Addressing the congregation on the topic “Getting to your Destination Safely is in your Hands,” Asekhauno emphasized that human actions, not spirits, cause crashes.

She advised parents to always secure their babies in the back seat of the car, avoid using phones while driving, and not overload vehicles.

She also urged everyone to obey traffic laws and regulations and to share safety messages with the grassroots.

Underscoring the importance of following road signs and markings, FRSC boss said the signs were meant to guide or warn road users and prevent accidents.

The outreach included distributing safety flyers and holding interactive sessions, with about 200 worshippers present.

The General Overseer, Bishop Dr. Emmanuel Obiora commended the FRSC for the education and encouraged the congregation to obey traffic rules.

He prayed for God’s protection over the Sector Commander and staff as they perform their duties, and thanked the FRSC for the valuable enlightenment.
