Dr. Bobmanuel Chukwuemeka Okonmah, House of Representatives aspirant for the Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, has hailed Governor Chukwuma Soludo as the greatest executive governor of Anambra State.

Okonmah, an All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) chieftain from Anambra West, made this declaration while speaking with journalists under the aegis of the Omambala Media Practitioners Association in Awka.

Congratulating the governor on his successful second-term inauguration, Okonmah noted that Anambra has witnessed unprecedented transformation during Soludo’s first four-year term, stating that his reign cannot be compared with that of his predecessors.

“Soludo’s era and that of his predecessors are incomparable. Governor Soludo has been tearing down, rebuilding, restructuring, and putting the state back the way it should be.

“If you talk about insecurity, we can all see how our security architecture has improved tremendously. We have also witnessed significant improvements in the state’s infrastructure. Soludo has completed about 3,000 kilometers of roads during his first term, which surpasses what the previous governors achieved in the past 16 years. His development strides are highly commendable and incomparable with those of his predecessors.”

He also praised Soludo’s leadership style, which he believes has contributed to his achievements thus far.

“What we are seeing today in Anambra State is a result of credible leadership. Soludo is not simply a manager; he is a leader. There is a significant difference between someone who is a manager and someone who is a leader.

“You can be a governor and operate as a manager, maintaining the status quo. However, when you have a governor like Soludo, who is a leader, he creates policies that lead to meaningful transformational impacts in society.”

The founder and CEO of Akalaka Foundation expressed hope that Anambra will experience unprecedented developmental strides in the next four years under Soludo.

According to him, “In the next four years, we are going to witness significant infrastructural development, including the Silicon Valley project that will host the ICT hub.

“I have experience in ICT, so I’m excited about the Silicon Valley project that is forthcoming. I want to see how much it will transform the lives of our youth. As we know, ICT rules the world. You can have a degree in any discipline, but without technological know-how, you are going nowhere. Whatever course you are pursuing, you need knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to compete with your peers at the global level.

“Our governor is a global development expert and a respected leader. It is a privilege to have such a person in our governance, and we expect so much from him.”

Okonmah stressed that the stakes are now higher for Soludo in his second term and urged the governor to extend his development efforts to Anambra East and West LGAs.

“The reward for good work is more work. The reward for excellent performance is more responsibility. Therefore, we, the Anambrarians, are giving more responsibility to Soludo to demonstrate what he is capable of.

“And we have confidence that he will deliver because Soludo is a man who is already thinking about 2070. He is guiding us towards where we should be. Look at what he is currently doing, such as the remodeling of Onitsha Main Market and other transformative projects he is executing across the state.

“Certainly, a lot is happening, and we hope to see the transformation of the state into a Dubai-Taiwan Silicon Valley. That is our expectation.”

Regarding the expectations of Anambra East and West constituents from Soludo’s administration, Okonmah stated:

“We, the people of Anambra East and West LGAs, are expecting a lot from Governor Soludo. I would like to thank the governor for the great work he has done in my constituency, especially the completion of the Mmiata Anam-Nzam road and the access road to Aguleri-Otu in Anambra East.

“This is highly commendable. However, like Oliver Twist, we still need more road networks in Anambra East and West. I am confident that the governor has this constituency in mind, and our wishes will indeed be granted. Therefore, I urge Governor Soludo to focus more on our areas and provide us with additional access roads.”
