In a vibrant celebration of culture, rhythm, and community spirit, Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar, in collaboration with X Mota Entertainment, is gearing up to host the highly anticipated Drums and Palmwine Fiesta.

Scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 6 PM till dawn, the event promises an unforgettable night of music, dance, and indulgence at the bar’s iconic location on Abakaliki Street in Awka.

This year’s fiesta coincides perfectly with Mothering Sunday in the Christian calendar, adding a layer of familial warmth and reverence to the festivities.

Customers can expect a thrilling blend of traditional Igbo vibes and modern entertainment, making it an ideal outing for families, friends, and culture enthusiasts honoring mothers while soaking in the lively atmosphere.

Headlining the event is the renowned Egedege Unubi dance troupe, led by Her Royal Majesty, High Queen Chioma Onuorah, also known as Onuejirimaramba I of Unubi and Ojiugoanawalueze.

Queen Onuorah, who succeeded her aunt, the legendary Queen Theresa Onuorah, brings a fresh yet authentic energy to the famous Egedege dance , a cultural staple from Unubi in Anambra State, characterized by intricate footwork, vibrant costumes, and soul-stirring melodies.

Her performances, often captured in viral videos and music releases, have captivated audiences across social media and streaming platforms, blending traditional folklore with contemporary appeal.

Side attractions will keep the energy high throughout the night, including live drum sessions that echo the heartbeat of Igbo heritage, interactive cultural displays, and special appearances by the host DJ BANKS and Hype MC SilentTalkertive.

Customers can indulge in a wide array of delicacies, from authentic Igbo native recipes like goat pepper soup, grilled fish, all paired with fresh, frothy palm wine straight from the tap , a signature offering at Nwoke Udi.

The bar, known for its 24-hour operations and authentic vibes, has long been a go-to spot in Awka for those seeking genuine local flavors and a welcoming ambiance.

Mazi Ndubuisi Eze, the visionary CEO behind Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar, expressed his excitement: “The day will be hot and massive! We always bring the best to our customers, and this fiesta is no exception. With Queen Onuorah’s mesmerizing performance and our array of delicacies, it’s going to be a night that celebrates our roots while creating new memories.”
