Police College Oji River Receives 100 Police officers for Combat, Weapon Training

The commandant of Nigeria Police college Oji River, AIG Bretet Emmanuel Simon has formally received one hundred (100) police officers from Anambra state Command for specialised training in combat, armed drill
operations and other crime fighting techniques.

According to a statement signed by the Police Public Relation Officer police college Oji-River, ASP Omokpagha Philip, said that the the training would focus on physical fitness, weapons
handling, tactical movement, resilience, intelligence-led operations, and strict
adherence to the rules of engagement cum respect for human rights

It reads: The commandant police college Oji River AIG BRETET EMMANUEL SIMON,
psc(+). has formally received one hundred (100) police officers from
Anambra state Command for specialised training in combat and armed drill
operations and other crime fighting techniques.

The training program is designed to enhance the operational capacity,
tactical competence and professional readiness of the officers in addressing
contemporary security challenges, including Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Violet
Crimes, and other threat to public safety within and around Anambra state.

While addressing the men on arrival, the Commandant charged the officers
to exhibit discipline, commitment. and professionalism throughout the duration of
the exercise

He emphasised that the training would focus on physical fitness, weapons
handling, tactical movement, resilience, intelligence-led operations, and strict
adherence to the rules of engagement cum respect for human rights

The initiative forms part of Nigeria Police Force ongoing efforts to strengthen
internal security and improve effective policing across the country through
Continuous Capacity building hline win tne vision of the indefatigable Inspector

At the end of the exercise. tne Officers will be returned to their Command. well grounded in combat and weaPon handling to stem-down the tide of security
challenges in their command and any Other part of the country when so deployed.
