President General of Ogidi Building Materials International Market, Chief Jude Nwankwo has predicted a landslide victory for Governor Chukwuma Soludo ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
Nwankwo made the prediction shortly after prayer sessions by the traders held in zones for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s victory.
He recalled that the traders in the state endorsed Soludo for second tenure at Chuba Ikpeazu stadium.
According to him, the governor has no rival as the state remains an All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) stronghold where no other parties exist except APGA which he described as acceptable by majority of the people in the state.
His words, “On November 8, things will happen in Anambra State, what is going to happen in Anambra has not happened before, it will surprise everybody.
“The governor is being given money to support his campaign because of his good works, Anambra people want to take over the campaign and leadership of the State.
“We don’t want a situation where an unpopular candidate will divert all state’s money to his personal pocket.
“Since Soludo came on board the issue of violent crimes like kidnapping for ransom, armed robbery, illegal activities of fake native doctors, among others have stopped.
“Native doctors are now on the run. I have not heard of any shop breaking in the market again.
“Before governor Soludo came on board, the state was terrible and the governor went underground and came up with a homeland security law.
“At a time some master traders and apprentices were no longer in the market. They were practicing oke-ite, Yahoo, Yahoo, 419, thinking that they can get rich quick through such means.
“To get wealth, you have to start gradually, you will go for apprenticeship first, nurture and save money, put interest, time dedication, honest and you make money. labour before enjoyment. That is what the governor is saying.
“Juju wealth is not honest health in your business, attend to your customers with truthfulness and supply according to what you bought, if you do it many years and before you know it, you are wealthy.
“If you want to make sacrifice, give it to your brothers and sisters, your line members, give out, that is another strategy of making money because when you give out, God gives you more. God said that Blessed be to those that giveth than the ones that taketh.”
Nwankwo listed some of the numerous achievements of the governor to include, one youth two skills system, roads construction, health, about five specialist hospitals built and free ante natal for pregnant women.
“Others are employment of over 8,000 teachers, 1200 medical personnel, restoration of security among others. Soludo has visited many deteriorated roads, among them was Ugwunwasike that was a death trap then because of potholes.
“The almighty hold up always at building materials-Ugwunwasike road which others tried tirelessly to resolve was resolved by Soludo.
“I also beg him to construct pedestrian bridge for us because many cross the busy Onitsha/Awka/Enugu expressway on daily basis and casualties are always recorded,” he disclosed.
ASMATA PG, Chief Humphrey Anuna, said that what the governor achieved in less than four years successive administrations put together have not achieved such in 16 years.
He described Soludo as God-sent to better the welfare of the people in the state and urged the traders to ensure they have their voter’s cards to vote for him on Saturday to enable him to continue in his good work.
“If it were to be in developed countries the governor will be elected unopposed sequel to his numerous achievements scattered all over the state. But here we don’t value one’s achievements,” he lamented.
