Family Holds Night of Tribute, Candlelight for Late Media Guru, Harris Chuma Odili

The Odili family will on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 hold Night of Tribute & Candlelight Procession in honour of their illustrious son and media guru, late Ogbuefi Harris Chuma Udokama Odili.

In a statement jointly signed by Chairman, Committee of friends for Ogene Burial and Tribute Night, Chief Amb. Sir, Jude Digar Ezenwafor and Ifeoma Helen Okoye, for Anambra Media Awards (AMEA), the family said the event will hold at Cosmila Hotel, Awka.

The family said the event which will commence at 5pm will feature glowing tributes, candlelight procession, and moments of reflection on a life dedicated to service, truth and humanity.

The statement reads, “With heavy hearts but gratitude for a life well lived, we invite you to join family, friends, colleagues, and associates as we pay our last respects and celebrate the remarkable life and legacy of Ogbuefi Harris Chuma Udokama Odili, a visionary, communicator, and man of deep compassion; founder, Anambra Media Awards.

“The evening will feature glowing tributes, candlelight procession, and moments of reflection on a life dedicated to service, truth, and humanity.

“Kindly come with your candle as we light up the night in his honour.

“May his gentle soul continue to rest in peace.”
