The Ultimate Destiny Uplifters Foundation (UDUF Africa) has reaffirmed its commitment to connect and inspire young people to transform communities in Africa with strong focus on leadership, entrepreneurship, community service and volunteerism.
Founder and President of UDUF Africa, Dr. Ezuma Chinedu stated this during the group’s October Business Meeting and Mentorship Session at Onitsha Business School, GRA, under the theme: “Winning in Business: The Mindset, Principles, and Practices of Successful Entrepreneurs.”
According to Ezuma, every business meeting is designed to equip members with practical tools, skills, and the right mindset for personal and professional advancement.
Expressing gratitude for participants’ consistent commitment to learning and transformation, Ezuma encouraged them to internalize the lessons, practice consistency, and lead by example in their various fields.
“Success is intentional. Winning in business begins with cultivating the right mindset, adopting sound principles, and practicing them consistently.
“At UDUF Africa, we don’t just inspire people to dream; we empower them to act, build, and lead with purpose,” he stated.
In his presentation on the theme, “Winning in Business: The Mindset, Principles, and Practices of Successful Entrepreneurs,” Chief Executive Officer of Crystal Garden Estate Ltd, Amb (Dr.) Simeon Chukwu, shared practical insights that resonated with participants.
Chukwu, a dynamic entrepreneur, business strategist, and inspirational speaker with certifications in Business Management, Economics, Advertising & Public Relations, and International Trade from Cambridge International College, Britain stressed that every great business starts small.
“You start small and grow more. It’s right to start where you are, but don’t stay there, please scale up,” he said.
While stressing that the crowd is not a true measure of success, Chukwu urged entrepreneurs to look beyond popular trends and cultivate visionary foresight.
“The crowd is not your validation. You have to see the invisible and prepare for it before it becomes obvious. Move ahead of the crowd,” he added.
Chukwu also highlighted that trust is the new currency in business, explaining that credibility and reputation open more doors than mere financial capital.
“Trust is the new currency in business. Money is a game of numbers; the more people accept you, the more money flows. Customer obsession is the true wealth engine of every successful enterprise.
“Customer obsession is the currency. You must make people accept you because there’s nowhere you make deposits without making withdrawals,” he stressed.
According to him, only systems scale, and entrepreneurs must learn to leverage technology, build partnerships, and create value-driven ecosystems to achieve sustainable growth.
He warned that ignoring customer feedback is a recipe for failure: “If you play with customers’ feedback, you don’t have a future for your business. Build partnerships and ecosystems. Build quality relationships.”
Chukwu further observed that wealth is a process, not an event: “Nobody jumps into wealth. If you were not introduced to wealth, you will never be wealthy. Your network is your growth engine.”
He encouraged participants to invest in meaningful relationships and networks: “If there’s no voice that speaks for you, your head will go. Any money you make is for you to create relationships.”
He added a timeless reminder on personal branding and long-term thinking: “Your brand is what people say when you are not in the room. Never trade short-term pleasure for long-term relationships. Innovate – do something differently. Keep your mind young, innovative, and sharp.”
Chukwu emphasized that wealth creation demands consistency, patience, and the right attitude toward action: “Wealth is created when action is involved. You have to be internally in charge.
“You don’t build wealth in weeks but in decades. Make sure that the first perception the wealthy have about you is positive — the wealthy can’t forget or forgive.”
His presentation left participants deeply inspired, equipping them with actionable principles for scaling their businesses and personal brands.
The Book of the Month, “The Psychology of Wealth: Understand Your Relationship with Money and Achieve Prosperity” by Charles Richards, was reviewed by Comrade Sarah Atelly.
She discussed the psychology behind financial decisions and how one’s mindset toward money affects wealth creation. Her session encouraged participants to develop a growth mindset and manage resources wisely to achieve lasting prosperity.
The UDUF Africa October Business Meeting and Mentorship Session was an inspiring, knowledge-filled event that deepened participants’ understanding of success in business and leadership.
The discussions, insights, and connections made during the meeting further strengthened UDUF Africa’s mission of nurturing ethical, visionary, and impact-driven African leaders.
