Teachers in Anambra state have presented the sum of ₦3,000,130 to Governor Chukwuma Soludo in appreciation for his administration’s policy of free education in all public schools.
The teachers made the presentation at the 2025 World Teachers’ Day celebration and endorsement march held at the Alex Ekwueme Square on Tuesday.
Reacting to the gesture, Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim expressed joy that the teachers’ dedication, amplified by educational reforms of the present administration was yielding results.
He said, “Today, I was honoured to stand with my Principal, the visionary Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, at the Alex Ekwueme Square to celebrate our incredible teachers.
“Their dedication, amplified by the transformative educational reforms of the Soludo administration, is yielding unprecedented results.
“It is no surprise that Anambra State has just clinched a staggering NINE Presidential Awards at the national level.
“In a powerful testament to this impact, a coalition of parents presented Mr.Governor with a symbolic gift of ₦3,000,130.
“This gesture represents their profound appreciation for the Soludo administration’s policy of free education in all public schools, which has lifted a significant financial burden from their shoulders.
“This is a government that prioritizes excellence and empowers its people. We are building a smarter, brighter Anambra.
“To all our teachers, we say a resounding thank you. The future is here, and it is brilliant.”
