World Teachers Day 2025: Soludo Declares Tuesday School Free-day in Anambra

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state has approved Tuesday October 7, 2025, as a school free day for the celebration and honour of teachers in the State.

Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, in a statement signed by Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr Ifeoma Agbaizu said the Solution Parents League would same day have their mega endorsement March in appreciation of Governor’s Revolution in the education sector.

She said Association of Private School Owners would join in the endorsement March slated to hold at the Alex Ekwueme Square.

The statement reads, “Anambra State Government, under the leadership of Mr Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo will celebrate and honour our esteemed teachers on Tuesday, 7th October, 2025.

“In view of the fact that this year’s World Teachers’ Day fall on a Sunday, Mr. Governor has graciously approved Tuesday, 7th October, 2025, as a school free day for the celebration and honour of teachers in Anambra State.

“Furthermore, the Solution Parents League will have their mega endorsement March in appreciation of Mr. Governor’s Mamoth Revolution in the Education Sector; all on the same day. The Association of Private School Owners will join The Solution Parents League for the endorsement March.

“Accordingly, all Teachers, Parents, and Proprietors/Proprietresses are expected to assemble at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, by 8:00 a.m. prompt, to give honour to whom honour is due.”
