Anambra Guber: APGA Kicks Off Ward‎ Campaign Tour with Massive Turnout in Awka South

‎The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has commenced its Ward Tour campaign as part of preparations for the November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.

‎Addressing supporters during the campaign, the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, described Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo as a first class professor who has managed the resources of the state prudently and delivered tangible projects across sectors. He assured that the roads linking Isiagu and Ezinator would soon be completed, adding that Soludo had already constructed numerous kilometers of road and flagged off new ones within three years in office.

‎Dr. Ibezim who urged women and youths to mobilize support and ensure victory for APGA in every polling unit, emphasized the target of “one million votes” for Soludo.

‎On his part, the Deputy Speaker of the Anambra House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwuma Pius Okoye, assured that Isiagu, Ezinator, and Umuawulu would deliver 100 percent votes for Soludo, recalling that his first constituency project in Isiagu was the construction of classroom blocks.

‎The Chairman of Awka South Campaign Council and Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Dr. Ossy Onuko while addressing the people said the tour had proven APGA grassroots strength, noting that the party remained unmatched in Anambra politics.

He highlighted Soludo strides in education, health, road infrastructure and prompt payment of salaries, while emphasizing that “polling unit strategy” would be central to the party’s campaign revolution.

‎Stakeholders and community leaders also declared support for Soludo as a minute silence was observed in honour of the late former Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Harford Oseke, an indigene of Umuawulu.

‎In his part, Chief Jude Nwangwu from Isiagu who lauded the governor’s performance in all sectors of economy in the state. He however, appealed for completion of connecting roads linking Isiagu, Ezinator and Nazareth Center.

‎One of the opinion leaders and APGA chieftain at Umuawulu, Chief Azubuike Ekweozor (Ide Umuawulu) commended Soludo’s infrastructural and innovative projects and pledged to deliver all 16 polling units in the community.

‎Chief Ekweozor insists that Governor Soludo has performance beyond ndị Anambra’s expectations, hence deserved a second tenure in order to continue with the good works.



‎Women leaders from the communities and wards toured eulogize Soludo’s developmental milestones hence cue behind the governor Soludo’s re-election bid. Mrs. Bibian Onwurah of Isiagu cited the modern toilets built at Afor Isiagu market as an example of his people oriented governance assuring that the 14 polling units in their ward will be won by APGA, while Mrs. Okpala Chinyere of Umuawulu praised Soludo free antenatal and caesarean section services which she said had saved lives and reduced costs for women.



‎Dignitaries present included the Mayor of Awka South, Prince Chinedu Okafor; APGA Chairman Awka South LGA and Secretary Awka South Campaign Council Barr. Lawrence Chukwuma; Chief Udochukwu Nnebdum of Isiagu; Chief Jude Nwankwor, President General of Ogbunike Building Material; and Prof. Emma Ezenwaji, Chairman of Anambra State Waste Management Authority (ASWAMA).
