National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Anambra state has called for sustained partnership with Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) towards guaranteeing security, safety and well-being of corps members.
Anambra State Coordinator of the Scheme, Mrs. Pauline Ojisua made the call while paying courtesy visit to the NSCDC State Commandant Corps Commandant Olatunde Maku, at the NSCDC Headquarters in Awka.
Ojisua commended the Command for its continuous support to NYSC programmes in the state, just as she sought for other areas of collaborations between both agencies.
Responding, Commandant Maku assured the Coordinator of the Commandโs unwavering commitment to safeguarding corps members in their places of assignment and communities of service.
He also pledged to strengthen the existing cordial relationship with the Scheme.
The Coordinator was accompanied by senior NYSC officials: Bamidele Isiaka, Assistant Director, Corps Welfare and Health Services; Samuel Adama, Assistant Director, Corps Discipline and Rewards; and Felix Obiekwe, Head, Information and Public Relations.
