Anambra state is one of the four states in Nigeria that have successfully waived Right-of-Way (RoW) fees for fibre deployment, a recent TechCabal report has revealed.
MD/CEO of Anambra State ICT Agency, Fred Agbata on Friday said the state is already witnessing rewards of such feat, including fresh investments, accelerated broadband access and growing confidence from stakeholders.
He described the success as a reflection of clear focus and hard work of the Anambra State Physical Planning Board and his Agency, the two MDAs driving this policy with dedication and consistency.

According to him, “A recent TechCabal report underscored a key truth in Nigeriaโs digital landscape: although many states pledged to waive Right-of-Way (RoW) fees for fibre deployment, only four have truly delivered.
“Anambra State is proud to be one of them.
“Under the visionary leadership of Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, Anambra has upheld its zero RoW policy and is already witnessing the rewards: fresh investments, accelerated broadband access, and growing confidence from stakeholders.
“This success is no accident. It reflects the clear focus and hard work of the Anambra State Physical Planning Board and the Anambra State ICT Agency, the two MDAs driving this policy with dedication and consistency.
“Today, Anambra stands as a model for the rest of the country: proof that when policy promises are matched with real execution, the benefits to citizens, businesses, and investors are undeniable.
“Together, we are building a stronger, more connected, and inclusive digital future.”
