Governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Anambra November 8, 2025 election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has vowed to restore security and confidence the state was once known for within the first ninety days.

He said reliable electricity, agricultural transformation and infrastructure renewal would be top priority under his administration.

Addressing newsmen in Awka, Ukachukwu also pledged to take the state and her citizens to the long expected promise land.

He explained that his main desire was to lift the State from the present atmosphere of uncertainty and despair to a surefooted secure, peaceful and prosperous environment.

Ukachukwu regretted that despite high hopes and great expectations, what the people had lived with in the last four years remained brutish life of barefaced insecurity, leadership insincerity, disappointment and failure.

“More so, multiple layers of armed brigands under various guises christened ASTA, Aka-odo, tax masters, etc have continued to plague the people’s sanity and peace.

“It has been such that no one is sure to return home with his or her limbs, cash and life any day in today’s Anambra.

“I’ll save the situation, save the people and restore the lost glory of the state by tackling insecurity, revitalizing all sectors of the economy, and accelerate the development of all communities especially along the lines of their comparative advantages.

“Currently, Anambra is not working, hence urgently needs transformative leadership with agenda premised on all-inclusive security network, infrastructural development and general/massive sectoral economic growth,” he stressed.

Anchoring hopes on belief that no society makes any progress in the face of insecurity, APC flagbearer declared, “when elected, I will restore security and the confidence that Anambra was once known for within the first ninety days.

“I will attract our youths back home through industrial development and sustainable job creation and provision. I will fight criminalities, social vices, restiveness and insecurity with jobs provision”

The Guber hopeful revealed plans to harness the stateโ€™s natural gas deposits so as to drive power generation, describing electricity as the โ€œengine-room of economic development.โ€

โ€œElectricity is central to any meaningful economic transformation, will tap into our gas reserves to generate power, but with a people-first approach.

“The energy infrastructure will be owned by the people, not by government monopolies. We want the people to take ownership , economically and psychologically,โ€ he added.

While promising comprehensive upgrade of the health system, Ukachukwu vowed to establish health centre in every community and general hospital in each local government where highly qualified medical personnel would be engaged to ensure effective healthcare delivery across the state.

โ€œHealthcare is not a luxury; itโ€™s a right. We must stop treating it like a privilege for the few. Under my administration, every citizen will have access to basic and specialized healthcare,โ€ he said.

Ukachukwu promised not to disappoint the people when entrusted with the mandate, vowing to restore the dignity of the state as the โ€œLight of the Nation.โ€

โ€œI have invested heavily in Anambra because I believe in this state. I plan to retire in my village. My commitment is personal.

“Investors are staying away because things are not working ,but when we fix the system, companies will come and our youths will be employed again.โ€he stated.
