Ahead the August 16th Anambra South senatorial bye-election, Obi Obiofia-Nnewichi in Nnewi North LGA, Chief Chukwunonye Onyejuluwa has thrown his weight behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Azuka Okwuosa.

Addressing the crowd at his palace, Obi Obiofia-Nnewichi said it was only normal for someone from Nnewi to step into the shoe left behind by late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah.

He said, “As a matter of fact, the APC standard bearer is from Nnewi and Nnewi people have resolved to vote massively for Okwuosa.

“Azuka Okwuosa has all it takes to give Anambra South senatorial a responsible and responsive representative at red chamber of the National Assembly.

“He is experienced, learned, capable and amiable, he was a former council chairman and a former Commissioner. He has contested for both the Senate and governorship before. It is his divine time to get it right now.”

The royal father appealed to the other six local government areas in Anambra South senatorial zone to collaborate and support Ndi-Nnewi to install a replacement for late Ubah who was an Nnewi man.

“The truth of the matter is that other people coming out from other local government areas are aware that it is Nnewi’s slot that is stake on August 16th.

“Morality demands that, a person from Nnewi zone should be the replacement for Sen Ubah,” he asserted.
