New Auto Spare Parts Market Football Tournament Kicks Off at Nkpor

It was an atmosphere of conviviality at the United Primary School football pitch Nkpor Agu, Idemili North LGA, Anambra State over the weekend as the New Auto Spare parts Market Nkpor Traders Association commenced a football tournament to foster friendship amongst themselves.

Speaking during the opening ceremony, the innovative New Auto Spare parts Market Nkpor Chairman, Chief Stephen Oforleh popularly called Award by his admirers explained the importance of sports saying that it unites people, fosters peace and friendship, enhances good health and helps people unwind after long stressful business activities.

The traders also used the opportunity to advise vehicle owners and users on the importance of patronizing the New Auto Spare parts Market Nkpor stressing the benefits of purchasing original products that one can trace the address of the manufacturers to avoid frequent vehicle breakdown which can also affect ones health.

Furthermore, Oforleh thanked the traders and major sponsors of the football tournament ” New parts Football League 2025″ for their cooperation and unalloyed support pledging that he would continue to work with his executives for the best interest and welfare of the traders.

“Our gratitude goes firstly to the Almighty God, the official sponsors of the tournament, ELPI Group of companies, Kakarakaa Groups Ltd, Bauman Industries who were present to grace this opening ceremony. I also thank my fellow executives and specifically the Football League LOC led by Comrade Edwin Ibeabuchi”, said Oforleh.

An official sponsor of the New parts Football League,Managing Director Kakarakaa Group of companies, Chief Ifeanyi Onyejekwe (Ifeco) prayed that the tournament shall be successful without injury on players.

Moreso, ELPI Representative and CEO Chiora Auto supply Nigeria Ltd, Chief Chima Anyaora described Sports as a food that satisfy people’s hunger. ‘People are always happy any time sporting activities like football match is being played. With the prevalent economic crunch in the country which is causing depression in some people there is need to stimulate people with extra curricular activities outside business hustle and bustle to help relax their minds.

The tournament began on Sunday July 27, 2025 with Sunshine FC (A1 – A5) defeating SkyLine FC (C 6B – C 11) in the opening match by a penalty shootout (6 – 5). Also, on August 3, 2025 Chairman’s Football team – Bright Stars FC (A6 – 10) was held to a goalless draw by P- Tech FC (0 – 0). The finals of the ongoing football tournament will be played on October 26, 2025 by 3:30 pm, same venue.

Dignitaries present include Chairman, Nkpor Main relief market, Chief Paul Okafor and his counterpart at Old Motor Spare parts Mgbuka Nkpor.
