Stakeholders from across Anambra Central Senatorial District adopted and endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, as the consensus candidates for the November 8 gubernatorial election.
The endorsement was made at an event that attracted more than 10,000 strong party faithful and supporters at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.
Addressing the audience, Soludo expressed gratitude for the endorsement, highlighting achievements of his administration since taking office.
He pointed out that under successive administrations, Anambra has succeeded in enthroning a political order in its political landscape, with a zoning system in place.
While championing a call for respect for the zoning system, the Governor noted the significant strides made by his government in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, pointing to ongoing projects that will also be laying a solid foundation for Anambraโs future.
Earlier, Deputy Governor, Dr. Ibezim echoed the Governor’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among all sectors of the community.
Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Deputy Speaker at the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye, APGA State Chiarman, Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye, Chief Osita Chidoka, Chief Dozie Nwankwo, Dr. Ifeanyi Okoye and a retinue of others, stood firm in support that Soludo should continue his transformational governance for another four years term.
The event concluded with conferment of Chieftaincy title of “Oluatuegwu” on Governor Soludo as well as a call to action for ndแป Anambra to participate actively in the upcoming election and ensure that their voices are heard at the polls.
The occasion brought together political leaders, community heads, youth representatives, and womenโs groups, cut across seven local government areas, and 109 wards within the state, all rallying behind Governor Soludo and his Deputy.
key figures in attendance included members of the state legislature and traditional rulers, among others, all emphasizing the need for continuity in governance.
