2025 Guber Race: Achalla Community Residents Rally for Governor Soludo’s Re-Election

Some residents of Achalla Community in Awka North LGA, Anambra State have expressed support for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s bid for a second term.

This was evident during a rally organized by the Nwanayoeze Achalla Support Group at various village squares in the area.

Community members, including men, women, youth, and teenagers, highlighted Governor Soludo’s impressive track record over the past three years as a key reason for their endorsement. Comrade Charles Okadigbo, former President General of the Achalla Improvement Union and rally convener, emphasized that the community would vote for Soludo on November 8, 2025.

Okadigbo praised the Governor for his commitment to Awka North and for fulfilling his campaign promises, particularly supporting local farmers. He expressed optimism that Soludo’s re-election would attract more investors and development to Achalla.

During the rally, Deputy Chairman of APGA in Awka North, Mr. Emeka Iliemena, noted the completion of key roads under Soludo’s administration, such as Isuaniocha to Achalla and Amansea to Awba Ofemili. He commended the Governor for conducting local government elections during his first term, demonstrating his preparedness to serve the community.

Community leader Chief Obinna Nweke added that Governor Soludo deserves a second term to continue his infrastructural projects throughout the state.

Barrister Patrick Nwora, Palace Secretary to the Traditional Ruler of Achalla, also supported Soludo’s re-election, citing indicators of good governance. He advised against appointing a caretaker committee for community leadership, advocating instead for an election to reflect the people’s wishes.

Leaders, including Mrs. Chinyeaka Obalim and Chief Nonso Igwenma, urged residents, particularly women, to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration and ensure they are ready for the election.

The rally concluded with community members marching through the eight villages of Achalla, calling for unified support for Governor Soludo in the upcoming election.
