AGGS-Onitsha Encourages Graduates to Uphold Purity, Integrity, and Hard Work

Graduating students of Anglican Girls Grammar School (AGGS) Onitsha received a powerful message about the importance of purity, integrity, and hard work during their Valedictory Service and Graduation/Prize-Giving Day.

In her address, Principal Lady Maureen Anyaenetu, who is retiring from the civil service, emphasized that these virtues would guide the graduates as they transition to tertiary education and beyond. She reminded them that success requires discipline and effort, urging them to stay true to their school motto, “Purity and Integrity.”

The Principal also expressed gratitude to various supporters of the school, highlighting the need for government assistance to address ongoing erosion issues threatening the school premises.

Ven Ndubuisi Izuchukwu, the Education Secretary, shared insights from scripture, advising the graduates to be mindful of their actions in the real world. He encouraged them to maintain peace with others and aspire to be leaders in their future careers.

Lady Dr. Ogochukwu Okpokwasili, the Guest Speaker, stressed the importance of self-discovery and personal growth, urging students to reflect, seek feedback, and form strong connections with their peers.

Other speakers, including Sir Charles Nsofor, praised Lady Anyaenetu for her contributions to the school, wishing her well in retirement and encouraging her to stay active and engaged.

The event featured awards for outstanding students and teachers, cultural performances, and the unveiling of the school’s yearbook, celebrating the achievements of the graduates as they prepare for the next chapter in their lives.
