Anambra CP commiserates with family of Inspector killed by son, offers welfare package

Commissioner of Police, in Anambra State, Mr. Ikioye Orutugu has sympathized with family members and Officers and men of the Police Mobile Force 29 Squadron, Amansea over the loss of Inspector Okolie Amechi and bullet injury to one of his sons.

Speaking during the sympathy visit, the CP described the Police Mobile Force as his Alma mater, explaining that the visit was a demonstration of his commitment to the welfare and morale of personnel of the Command.

He reminded Police officers of the importance of adhering to Police Operational Protocol, especially in their line of duty.

Orutugu emphasized the need for teamwork and encouraged the personnel to remain focused and dedicated to their duties, despite the loss.

He also supported the deceased’s family with a welfare package and prayed for the quick recovery of the injured son who is currently receiving attention in the hospital.

Responding on behalf of officers of the Squadron, Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Nasiru Adamu Kaila expressed gratitude to the CP for visiting the Base.

He thanked him showing empathy towards the officers, especially at the moment of grief.

Kaila pledged to comply with the CPโ€™s guidance and directives, on the Squadronโ€™s operations.

He also reiterated the commitment of his officers to their duties and promised to continue working diligently to maintain peace and security in their area of responsibility.

The CP was accompanied by three Assistant Commissioners of Police of the Departments: Administration, Investigation and Operations and other senior officers.
