Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachi Ibezim has urged Anambra-born artistes and entertainers to use their platforms to showcase the outstanding achievements of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in the state.

Ibezim made the call while hosting renowned flautist Ojadiligbo (Chinemeze Chijioke) and Awkuzu-based rapper Slowdog (Nnenna Okechukwu Emmanuel) who visited him at the new Anambra State Government House.

He commended Anambra-born artists for taking the time to visit some of the projects executed by the governor, just as he condemned those engaging in campaigns of calumny against the government.

The Deputy Governor praised Soludo for breaking the nearly 34-year jinx of Anambra State not having a permanent Government House.

He noted that the new Government House, comprising 56 buildings, is a demonstration of the Governor’s commitment to developing the state.

The visiting artistes, Ojadiligbo and Slowdog, described Anambra State under Soludo’s leadership as a destination hub.

They lauded the state’s infrastructure and encouraged creatives, particularly those of South-Eastern origin, to leverage these facilities for content creation.

Ojadiligbo, known for blending traditional Igbo sounds with modern Afrobeat and highlife, and Slowdog, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s rap scene, commended government efforts to provide world-class recreational (Solution Fun City) and administrative facilities.

During their visit facilitated by National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors’ Forum, Chinedu Obigwe and Hon. Kamen Chuks Ogbonna, the artistes showcased potential of these landmarks to boost tourism and creative industries.

“I no longer need to travel to Lagos to have good fun. I’ll just bring my loved ones to Solution Fun-City,” Slowdog remarked.

The artists emphasized the importance of such infrastructure in fostering local talent and reducing the need for creatives to seek opportunities outside the South-East.

The highlight of the outing was a soul-moving freestyle session by Ojadiligbo, paying homage to Governor Soludo and his work in Anambra State.

The visit underscores Anambra State’s commitment to promoting cultural and economic growth through strategic investments in infrastructure, positioning the region as a hub for entertainment and creativity.
