MAN Boss Bags COOU Honorary Doctorate Degree, Pledges Legacy Project

Chairman, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) South East Chapter, Lady Ada Chukwudozie, has scored Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) high in fostering academic excellence and societal development

She expressed deep appreciation to the university, underscoring her commitment to using the recognition accorded her to expand the frontiers of human capital development

Lady Chukwudozie stated this while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after conferment of a prestigious Doctor of Business Administration degree (Honoris Causa) by the institution at its convocation and 25th anniversary ceremonies

While acknowledging exploits of the institution, she pledged to leave a legacy project in the institution in furtherance to her resolve to promoting innovation, skill acquisition and human resource.

“I promise the university that i am going to leave a legacy project behind. This legacy project is a project i have been nursing in my heart.

Chukwudozie, who doubles as the Chairman of Keystone Bank, called for partnerships for youth engagement and empowerment programmes especially in areas of agriculture and skill acquisition

“Partnerships for sustainable development and production because the economy is very down and inflation is so high.To fight inflation, there should be production.

“It is going to be anchored on income generating projects to empower indigent students through animal husbandry, mechanised agriculture and so on.

” We are looking forward to empowering our youths to embrace agriculture. We want to make agriculture very attractive by using modern methods of farming”

Earlier, the University had said while conferring the award on her, that she was being honoured for her supportive role in the institution’s learned society activities and other support services to the uplifting of humanity.
