Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie has celebrated its dedicated staff with awards and gift during the grand ceremony marking her 100 days in office.
Mr. Ugochukwu Onuigbo, a lecturer in Mass Communication, emerged the Most Hardworking Staff of the Year. He took home a plague and standing fan as prize. Also recognized and rewarded for their dedication to duties were Mr Fidelis Alo and Mrs Victoria Okoma-Unegbu.

The ceremony, which included a lecture and commissioning of projects, showcased the polytechnic’s commitment to excellence and staff appreciation. Dr. Chioma Awuzie’s administration has prioritized staff welfare, academic reinvention, and infrastructure development, as outlined in her 12-point agenda.
As the polytechnic community celebrates this milestone, they also acknowledge the tireless efforts of staff like Mr. Onuigbo, who embody the institution’s values of hard work, dedication, and excellence.
During an interview, Mr. Onuigbo expressed his gratitude, dedicating the award to God and commending the Rector for her outstanding leadership and contributions to the polytechnic. He pledged to continue delivering exceptional service to the institution and beyond.
