Catholic Cleric Slumps, Dies while Playing Lawn Tennis in Anambra

Catholic Diocese of Awka Anambra State has been thrown into mourning following the sudden death of Rev Fr Anthony Udogu, Parish Priest At St Francis, Obunagu, Awka.

Udogu, according to a statement by Diocesan Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Charles Ndubisi slumped and died while playing Lawn Tennis Tuesday Morning.

The deceased, was said to be rushed to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead after several efforts to save his life proved abortive.

Udogu, born December 24, 1964 was ordained in August 19,1995. He was also Dean of Awka II Deanry.
