Coordinator, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe has dismissed as empty threat recently formed Nicholas Ukachukwu–Uche Ekwunife ticket to Governor Charles Soludo’s re-election bid.

Ukachukwu, an All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant named Senator Uche Ekwunife as his running mate ahead of the November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra State.

Reacting to the development in a statement on Tuesday, Obigwe said the Soludo-led administration remained unshaken by the APC ticket.

He described the pairing as a politically motivated alliance lacking grassroots credibility and voter appeal.

“Senator Ekwunife accepted the position of deputy governorship candidate purely to revive her dwindling political relevance,”

“She is more interested in leveraging Ukachukwu’s resources than genuinely contributing to the development of Anambra State,” he claimed.

While alleging that the partnership is driven by personal ambition rather than the collective interest of the people, ccusing Ekwunife of joining the ticket to “cash out” from what he termed “the free money Ukachukwu is throwing around.”

Obigwe maintained that the people of Anambra are politically discerning and would not be swayed by superficial alliances or media hype.

“No amount of propaganda or political packaging will secure victory for Ukachukwu in the upcoming election. Anambra is in safe and capable hands.

“The people are resolute in their support for Governor Soludo and are committed to re-electing him for a well-deserved second term,” he added.
