The Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, has vowed to resign from his position if he fails to ensure the electoral victory of the party’s candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Obi-Okoye made the commitment while expressing confidence in the party’s readiness to secure victory in the forthcoming elections scheduled for January 16 and February 6, 2027.
The APGA chairman reportedly placed his political future on the line, declaring his determination to deliver the party’s candidates, particularly those contesting legislative positions.
His declaration underscores the pressure on the party’s leadership to consolidate its political influence in Anambra State and secure victory for its candidates at the polls.
The chairman’s vow also signals a commitment to stronger party mobilisation, grassroots engagement and effective electioneering ahead of the 2027 electoral contests.
His statement has raised expectations among party faithful and political observers, who will be watching closely to see whether APGA can translate its political strength into electoral victories in 2027.
For Obi-Okoye, the stakes are clear: deliver the party’s candidates or relinquish his position as state chairman.
